Chelsea’s struggles to find consistency this season have been well-documented, and it appears that one of their marquee summer signings may be heading for the exit door. Joao Felix, who joined the Blues from Atletico Madrid in a £44m deal, has failed to replicate the form that made him a sought-after talent in La Liga.
Despite scoring seven goals in 20 appearances across all competitions, Felix’s performances have been inconsistent, and he has struggled to establish himself as a regular starter in Enzo Maresca’s side. With Chelsea looking to trim their squad to comply with Premier League Squad Registration Rules (PSR), Felix may find himself surplus to requirements.
According to reports, AC Milan are keen to sign Felix, with the Serie A giants having already held talks with Chelsea over a potential deal. While the Blues are open to letting Felix leave, they are holding out for a fee in excess of £34m, which is the current offer on the table from Milan.

A loan move to Milan, with an option to buy, is also being discussed, but Chelsea’s preference is to sell Felix outright. If the deal goes through, Felix would become the sixth former Chelsea player to join AC Milan, following in the footsteps of Alvaro Morata, Christian Pulisic, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Tammy Abraham, and Fikayo Tomori.
Felix’s potential departure would be a significant blow to Chelsea’s attacking options, but it would also provide Maresca with the opportunity to reassess his squad and make adjustments ahead of the second half of the season. With the Blues facing a tough test against Manchester City this weekend, Felix’s future at Stamford Bridge remains uncertain.
