Chelsea are edging closer to securing the signature of Corinthians’ highly-rated youngster Denner, with a meeting scheduled for Wednesday to finalize the deal. The 16-year-old left-back has been making waves in Brazil, and the Blues are keen to snap him up before other clubs can swoop in.
Denner has already made 18 appearances for Corinthians’ U20 side, and his impressive performances have caught the attention of Chelsea’s scouting team. The Brazilian club had been trying to tie Denner down to a new contract, but the teenager’s representatives are reportedly favoring Chelsea’s offer.
According to sources in Brazil, Chelsea have tabled a proposal worth €8m plus €4.5m in bonuses, contingent on Denner meeting certain sporting targets. The total deal could reach €12.5m, making it a significant investment in the young player’s future.
Corinthians had initially been reluctant to sell Denner to Chelsea, but the threat of losing him to another Brazilian club due to a low release clause has forced their hand. With the transfer operation reportedly at an advanced stage, Wednesday’s meeting could be the decisive factor in securing Denner’s signature.
While Chelsea are closing in on the deal, they will have to wait until Denner turns 18 in February 2026 before he can officially join the club. Nevertheless, the Blues are eager to get their hands on the talented teenager, who is expected to be a key player for years to come.
